Like most homeowners, you would have done some research into other roof cleaning companies near me.

Roof cleaning using SoftWash is a term used to remove the moss from your roof and an application of a chemical at low pressure hence Soft Wash.

Other roof cleaning companies don’t always use a cherry picker to work from an elevated position, giving an improved pre-clean. In order to offer a 2 year guarantee, we would need to pre-clean lichen, moss, and detritus from the roof using 900psi water and our chemical treatment uses a blend of water, sodium Hypochlorite and biocide.

If you are happy with waiting 6-12 months for the results, then use a company that uses a biocide. If you’re looking to see an instant result with a 2 year guarantee, call us today.

All of the chemicals we use for Softwashing are:

• Water Based
• Non Hazardous (When mixed according to label instructions)
• Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound)
• Biodegradable
• Alkaline Stable
• No Bio Accumulation
• Fossil Fuel Free – wherever possible we will limit or eliminate the use of gas powered equipment

We take matters of nature and the environment extremely seriously giving you the peace of mind that we have every base covered.

The short answer is yes, however when using a company like Alfresco on completion of our work we apply a solution of Plant Wash.

Plant Wash when used during the Soft Washing application will ensure you don’t damage plants and grass when used in accordance with the Soft Wash training program

1. Neutralises the bleach
2. Liqufertilises the plants through their leaves
3. Coats the leaves with a buffering agent
4. Adds back vital nutrients at the base of the plants, helping beneficial bacteria to repopulate the soil.

Along with thorough rinsing with clean water, before, during and after the cleaning, Plant Wash is used as a final rinse to make absolutely sure every step has been taken to protect your landscape.

If you approve a quote that offers Plant Wash we will guarantee your plants for 90 days. So if anything happens we will replace affected plants, landscape, etc (Max value of £500.00)

We have two options for you:

1. We can bag it up and leave it with you for you to dispose of.
2. We arrange a waste bag* (hippo or similar) chargeable*

Unlike some roof cleaning companies that would stand on the roof tiles and use 3500psi pressure to clean, at Alfresco we use our own cherry picker that’s on the back of a van or a tower scaffold.

As long as we can park a large van on your driveway we can use the cherry picker which is the safest option.
