Our Four Top Stone Cleaning Systems

DOFF Steam Cleaning
Designed and developed to effectively remove paint, biological matter and general dirt and grime without causing harm or shock to the substrate, the DOFF System is capable of achieving temperatures up to 150 degrees at the nozzle end.
DOFF cleans stonework and masonry using high-temperature steam. Whilst the temperature in the system is high, the pressure on the surface being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of water is low. The surface is therefore not saturated and will be dry within minutes.

V-TUF Hot Water system
The V-TUF system is ideal for removing moss, algae, fungi and other biological matter.
It will even kill off spores, resulting in much less organs growth following treatment. This means there’s then no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological activity.
With pressure of only 100bar and 12L of water per minute at 120C, its the ideal machine for our stone cleaning team.

Tensid Torik
The Tensid Torik Stone Cleaning System provides the option of chemical-free cleaning, without sacrificing results. Like the DOFF system, it produces a controllable stream of high pressure superheated water and steam that quickly removes grime, moss, algae, fungi and other biological matter.
The TORIK system is gentle, safe and effective for removing grease, oil, paint bitumen, graffitti and even chewing gum from stonework and brick masonry.

SoftWash Systems
SoftWashing is an alternative to pressure washing and can also be part of a combined cleaning solution for you.
This a more gentle way to clean stone surfaces, causing less damage and disturbance. As a result, it can be used on more surfaces and is a more cost-effective process, and in some cases this will still be pressure washing.
To ensure you receive the very best from our exterior cleaning teams we suggest you request a home assessment from one of our solutions-led team.
Surface Protection
Some companies recommend using a sealing agent after stonework cleaning. We strongly advise you against that.
These sealants trap moisture which can reveal itself to you later as milky-white patches under the surface of the coating.
What do we recommend?
First of all, any remedial work should be completed – such as repairing loose stones and joints. Then we recommend using surface protection products from Guard Industry. We have found their surface protection products to be the best we can find and have completed training with them.

Does Your Stonework or Patio Have Ugly Black Spots?
If you’ve tried jet washing your own stonework, only to be left with stubborn, ugly black spots, you have black lichen growths.
These take take between three and eight years to form and can’t be effectively removed by standard pressure washing, which just removes the surface dirt – but these microbes are actually growing within the porous stone.
Some contractors use neat Sodium Hypochrolite to deal with Black Spot Removal on your stonework. Beware – this chemical is corrosive and can damage the stone, landscaping and plants around your patio.
Sodium Hypochrolite should be diluted before application. Our SoftWash System blend unit allows us to dilute to the correct mixture to safely remove black lichen spots without causing harm to your stonework, patio or garden.
If your stonework is suffering from black lichen spots, call us today and let’s get rid of them once and for all.
