Description of project:
This project embarked on addressing dilapidation after the previous tenant vacated, necessitating the building’s restoration to its original condition at the lease’s inception, as mandated by a full repairing lease agreement.. Vernier Ltd contacted us through a third party, given our local proximity to the project.
We conducted a comprehensive site survey, demonstrating our proven Three Step Colour Restoration System on the window frames. Furthermore, we conducted an inspection of the cold zip rolled roof for low-pressure hot water cleaning, utilising the recently tested latchway system. The building featured two stone surfaces, both recommended for DOFF cleaning by Stone Health to utilize its low pressure, super-heated water. We pre-treated paths and car parking areas with SoftWash to address black spots (find more info on black spots here), followed by pressure washing at 3000psi. After completing all tasks, we cleaned the windows with Pure Water from our fleet of window cleaning vans.
More about the window frame restoration – Once completed you will see the brilliance of these restored window frames.
The three step colour restoration system has been developed by Purple-Rhino back in 2014. This colour restoration system outlasts all competitors products available on the market. Purple-rhino.co.uk research to source the very best products took half way around the world. After many trials were conducted we opted for a product which had been tested to DIN 11341, Xenon Testing Standards. The product is also VOC free.

How does it work?
Step one – the surface is purified and made smooth. The Colour is restored half the way to its original RAL colour.
Step two – the surface is purified again and prepared for the UV protection layer.
Step three – We coat the surface with a UV protection layer, restoring its color to the original RAL shade at this stage.

This three-step color restoration system restores glass, ceramic, stainless steel, plastisol-type cladding, and powder-coated surfaces like aluminium window frames common in modern architecture today.
Any difficulties overcome:
We completed the project on a tight schedule, quickly mobilizing our team. Our office team swiftly prepared the Risk Assessment and Method Statements for the client.
Within just 10 days of receiving instructions, we deployed our staff on site. The team diligently worked through Saturday, aiming to advance the project despite facing the challenges of cold and wet weather conditions.. Leveraging our 30 years of experience in working outdoors, we completed all the cleaning tasks. With a break in the weather, our team finished restoring the window frames and curtain glazing parts of the project.
